What We Do

Alt Outdoors Ltd offers bespoke outdoor-based alternative provision in East Sussex for young people aged 11–18 who experience barriers to engagement in traditional education. Our work focuses on building confidence, resilience, and life skills through carefully planned outdoor, practical, and community-based experiences, supporting positive outcomes for young people, schools, and local authorities.

Our Staff

Wilfy Gladwin-Nelson – Director

Qualified teacher (QTS) with over ten years’ experience working across primary, secondary, and specialist SEN settings. Wilfy has held pastoral leadership roles and led outdoor education programmes, supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, school avoidance, and behavioural challenges.

His work is grounded in trauma-informed practice and focuses on empowering young people through safe, structured outdoor experiences that build confidence, resilience, and real-world skills.
